3rd Stretch Goal Unlocked, and 40 Hours to Go!!

You all are amazing! We blasted past the third stretch goal while I was on my way to work this morning, and now we're making good progress toward the next! 

With the third stretch goal unlocked, there will be even more  art included in the book. We're now at essentially full capacity for artwork, and I can't wait to start commissioning more pieces.

One of my favorite pieces I haven't shared directly on Kickstarter yet is for the villain of one of the adventures: Thunderclaw.

Thunderclaw is a wyrmling who lost control of his lightning powers and has harbored a grudge against the Dragonsdale Dragon School, finally deciding to conjure a terrible thunderstorm in an effort to blow the school away. In the adventure "The Druid's Jealousy", the wyrmlings will have to find a way to prevent him from succeeding - and, hopefully, convince him to return to Dragon School where he can finally learn to control his powers.

One More Stretch Goal!

We have one more stretch goal in sight with just 40 hours to go. If we end up breaking through it with plenty of time to spare, I do have one more moonshot goal up my sleeve, but you'll have to wait until we break the 333% funding mark to see it ;)

Our next goal will add three more adventures to the book - this time written by the amazing Leon Barillaro whose work I have been a fan of for a little while now, and who I'd be very excited to have on the list of writers for the project.

A New Wyrmlings Review

Hey everyone!

We're well on our way toward that third stretch goal. In the meantime, here's a great review from TechnoFunkBoy over at Everything Board Games:

 If you haven't yet had a chance to check out the quickstart/playtest packet and play the game, I think he does a really good job of covering how it feels to play and how the design goals I had with the system come through.

If you haven't yet, now's a great time to do so to help us break that third stretch goal a little earlier and increase the chances of us getting through the fourth (adding even more adventures to the book) before this is over :)

Second Unlock!

Steph C. of TTRPGKids joins the list of wonderful writers! They will be creating a short series of adventures that could serve as a finale for your wyrmlings as they reach the end of a year of school! Steph has extensive experience writing games for kids and making TTRPGs more accessible to players in younger age ranges, and I couldn't be more excited to work with them.

If you're already following me on social media (@LoneColossusGames on Facebook and Instagram, or just @LoneColossus on Twitter), you may have seen some of the new artwork I've been sharing. But this piece is so adorable I just have to share it again here.

Honeysuckle is the instigator for one of the adventures in the book, Tea Time for Two - a story about how the best of intentions can still lead to unfortunate consequences (and, of course, how friendship can - hopefully - save the day in the end).

As always, thank you so much for your support so far, and please keep sharing the campaign with friends, on social media, and anywhere else you think interested folks might find it. Word of mouth really helps projects like this one, and we wouldn't have made it this far without you.

Character Sheet Preview

Hey everyone!

We're in the slow phase of the Kickstarter now, and will be for a couple more weeks. That said, we're over halfway to the next stretch goal! At our current rate, we'll probably meet it a little under a week.

In the meantime, I've been continuing to work on the book and especially the character sheet! Here's a work in progress preview of the updates I've made so far (plus a sneak peek at what that dragon type you've seen listed on the wyrmlings' sheets can do).

I'm still playing with colors, font, and overall layout, but I think it's steadily approaching a good final format :)

Have any of you had a chance to run a game with the quickstart yet? If so, I'd love to see some stories in the campaign comments section!

1st stretch goal down!

Amazing! Not only did we fund in one day, we also broke the first stretch goal within the first 24 hours!

With this first unlock, extra artwork will be commissioned to add flavor to the pre-written adventures in the book. Next up is a goal I'd really love to meet: a series of "season finale" adventures written by Steph C. of TTRPGKids! This will expand the number of adventures in the book and provide you with some climactic stories to run at the end of a year of school.

Next up after that is another art expansion and another goal reveal that I'm really excited about :D

Please keep sharing the project with your friends and groups - word of mouth really helps us keep the momentum going! Also, if you've had a chance to check out the playtest packet linked on the campaign page, I'd love to hear who your favorite pre-made wyrmling is. Let me know in the campaign comments! Mine is probably Giggles.
